The Radical Tea Room is an emblem of solidarity, collective care, and political protest – seeking to unify and empower our community with the power of stitch becoming a weapon in battle of inequality. By converting ‘decoration’ into factual statements that challenge the viewer, ‘uncomfortable’ conversations are brought to the foreground which simply can’t be overlooked, encouraging self-reflection and self- education alongside collective quilt making workshops and liberating conversations to bring the public together again, breaking down man-made taboos.
